Making high-quality video production easy for everyone
Roll.ai is an app and web platform that lets anyone record, edit, and publish high-quality videos from their phone using AI. It simulates camera movements like dolly and crane shots, adds cinematic effects, and edits automatically so creators can skip complex gear and slow workflows .
This project is about making professional video feel less like a production nightmare and more like a smooth, creative process.
I joined as a Product Designer in 2023 and helped shape the product end to end. I worked on user research, wireframes, UI design, prototypes, and the design system.
I also collaborated with developers and wrote prompt engineering for Stable Diffusion and Open AI. I made sure the AI features were easy to use and visually clear. I also contributed to the video production automation pipeline, AI features, and frontend when needed.
Roll began with a simple question: what if great video didn’t need big teams and complicated tools? The team wanted to give creators and businesses a faster, easier way to record, edit, and publish content.
We started small, focusing on key problems in the video workflow, and grew the platform based on real user needs.
Automated workflows cut production time from 90 hours to about 35 minutes. A 95% time saving.
Tools for human segmentation, background blur, inpaint/outpaint with Stable Diffusion and SAM 2.0.

We built a pipeline that uses transcript data to find the best video moments and builds vertical clips ready to share.
Users can shift audio and video manually or use AI to match them using audio waveforms.
