2020 - 2023

About the Project

FanBank is a SaaS platform built for pro sports teams to help them understand, organize, and monetize their fan data. Teams like Inter Miami, Dallas Mavericks, World Table Tennis, Williams Eleven, and others like them used it to grow their audience, run smarter campaigns, and unlock new revenue through data.

Before FanBank, most teams had their data spread across different tools ticketing, merch, email lists, CRMs and no real way to bring it all together.

What I Did

I was the designer and frontend developer for FanBank from the early MVP to a fully scaled product. I worked on core features, conducted user research, created flows, built the frontend, and helped lead collaboration with devs and stakeholders.

How It Started

We noticed that sports teams had tons of fan data but weren’t using it efficiently. Pumpjack had the vision to build a central hub for all of it, and I helped turn that idea into a product. I designed and shipped it in pieces over three years, alongside a remote team.

What I did

Designed and developed FanBank from the ground up

Simplified complex data workflows into clean, easy-to-use tools

Led UX and frontend for core features like the Audience Selector, Value Engine, and Audience Analytics

Worked directly with teams from Inter Miami, the Mavs, and others

Helped drive a 9x growth in clients, from 5 to 45 teams

Made key improvements that increased fan engagement by 45%

Design System

This was a big part of my role and one of my proudest contributions.

I created a complete design system with reusable components, tokens, motion patterns, and a full UI library.

Built with React, Stitches, Styled Components, Framer Motion, and React Spring.

Maintained documentation and scaled it across teams.

This system led to 30% faster development, fewer bugs, and better visual consistency across modules

New features plugged into it easily, and it grew as the product did

Key Features

1. Audience Selector

Powerful filters to build and save audience segments using real data.

2. Audience Analytics

Full insights into fan behavior web visits, merch, tickets, affinities, demographics, and more.

3. Value Engine

Shows how much fan data is worth by mapping behaviors to categories.

4. Data Exchange

Teams can trade anonymized fan data with others businesses to grow reach and generate new revenue

5. User Roles

Custom roles and permissions for internal control and data safety

Outcome

FanBank helped teams make better decisions with their fan data and grow their revenue potential. With its design system in place and core features shipped, it scaled from a niche tool to a platform used by some of the biggest names in sports.
